Pre-Apprenticeship

Pre–apprenticeship is a 13-week programme aimed at people between the ages of 16 and 65 who wish to further their learning, skills and qualifications within the industry they work.

This learning programme encourages learners who are employed but who may lack in confidence, motivation or are in need of further support with literacy and numeracy skills. Learners can use this programme as a starting point before embarking on a modern apprenticeship scheme.

Our highly trained and experienced tutors will identify and break down learning barriers that have previously prevented individuals from gaining recognised qualifications.

Qualifications include:

Adult Literacy
Adult Numeracy

NVQs Level 1 include:

Hairdressing
Customer service
Business administration
IT for Users/practitioners
Food preparation and cooking
Multi – skilled hospitality
Housekeeping.

All adult learners interested in the pre-apprenticeship programme must be referred by Job Centre Plus.
