Choices
Charity Lunch

On Tuesday 7th February, the Choices students held a 4-course charity lunch for Pembrokeshire Deaf Children’s Society at the Tudor Lodge Restaurant, Jameston.

The students were split into 2 teams, a kitchen team and front of house team.

Jamie Bessant headed the kitchen tem and the students were Ryan Colbeck, Sean Davies, Dewi McGhee, Kieran Morgans and Darren Briggs.

The kitchen team worked well together and all courses were prepared and served to a high restaurant standard and all the customers were very complimentary on the quality of meals. A special mention must go to Dewi McGhee for offering his time in the preparation for the lunch the evening before.

Rhydian Batchelor headed the front of house team and the students were Aliesha Johnson, Cassie Davies, Rhys Hobson, Tanya Coombes, Emily Hopkins, Carla Allen and Nicola Hearn.

The Front of house students worked well as a team ensuring all of the customer’s needs were met and that they felt at ease during the event.

The customers for the lunch were made up from representatives from each school, charity and the Tudor Lodge.

The representatives were; Pembroke school - Mr Richard Chapman (senior staff) and Mrs Lewis (senior staff), Greenhill school - Mrs Hicks (head of pride) and Mrs Mchay (Pride LSA) with her mother, Neyland Behavioural Support Services (BSS) – Kim Waters (Pride tutor), Jane Hill (Head of Pride) and Judy Jones (Head of BSS), Tudor Lodge – Emmaline Asher (Second Chef), Stephanie Cheswick (Tudor Lodge Staff) and Stuart Allen (Academy tutor), Paul (Andrew Rees Butchers) and Mrs Joyce Williams and daughter from Pembrokeshire Deaf Children’s Charity.

Our special thanks go to all the suppliers for their kind donations of food a drink for the event; Brake Brothers, Andrew Rhys Butchers, Walter Davies and Wisebuys Pembroke. Finally, our thanks go to PRP Training Ltd for donating the venue of Tudor Lodge.

We would also like to thank all the representatives and students for making the day successful and along with a raffle enabling us to raise £132 for the local worthwhile charity of Pembrokeshire Deaf Children’s Society.
